Welcome back to Frank Roberts . Iā€™d like to extend a warm welcome to all parents and guardians as we settle into a new school year. My name is Chris Harnett and I am the music specialist at the school for 2019/2020. I wanted to reach out to parents/guardians and let them know about the band and choir programs available at the school. The school runs three ensembles; choir, concert band and jazz band. I strongly encourage interested students to sign up for at least one of the ensembles and take part in what the school has to offer. Each ensemble works on a pull-out basis and has one after school rehearsal every week. We perform at the Remembrance day ceremony at the school, prepare a Christmas concert, take part in Rotary MusicFest in the spring and finish the year with a year end concert. Occasionally, there are additional opportunities for performance in the community that we participate in as well. Participation in music has incredible social, emotional and cognitive benefits that can help make the junior high years an enjoyable experience.

Should your child at Frank Roberts be interested in participating in any of these ensembles, you can find more information and complete registration at the following link:

Feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions you may have at I look forward to hearing the students make music together.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are not able to offer cafeteria services until later this week. In the meantime, we are offering students an opportunity to order pizza from a local vendor for lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday. The cost is $5.00, which includes pizza, and a choice of juice or water. All pizza will be cheese & pepperoni.Orders must be placed during morning homeroom. (We will not be ordering extra slices). We will update families when the cafeteria services are ready to resume. Thank you for your continued support.
